Well, this is it. At this point there is no further time for preparations, decorations, shopping, wrapping or anything else. Christmas Eve, we have our gathering with Katie's family. We'll go by to visit Mama on our way home.
I won't go near a store in the next three days because it will be super crazy and the traffic will be horrific. I'm pleased that I have all I need for our Christmas Day feast.
Christmas Day we'll have our traditional breakfast of Orange Danish. We have stockings that we'll enjoy emptying. Then the feast of the season midday. That afternoon we'll go visit Sam and the kids and take our gifts to them and see what Santa blessed them with this year.
Now is the time to take a deep breath and relax. Call it done. Plan a movie evening, have a whiskey and coke, bring out the charcuterie board for supper and enjoy.
I've done all I could and then some. Every cookie made, every present wrapped, every gift meant to be sent well on its way. It is enough. It is enough.
I'm taking a break for the rest of this week.
Have a lovely, merry Christmas and enjoy!
